Exercise Physiology
Exercise Physiology is a science-based allied health service that uses Exercise as Medicine to help you manage clinical conditions, recover from injury, and improve your daily quality of life. Delivered by university-qualified Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs), our services focus on the body’s physiological response to movement to create sustainable, long-term health outcomes.
Our Areas of Special Interest
Pulmonary Rehabilitation: We provide structured programs for those living with chronic lung diseases such as COPD, asthma, and bronchiectasis. These interventions focus on specialized breathing techniques and graded aerobic training to reduce breathlessness, improve exercise capacity, and enhance your independence.
Persistent Pain Management: Our approach to chronic pain focuses on retraining the nervous system and building physical resilience. Using evidence-based pacing and goal-setting strategies, we help you break the cycle of “boom and bust” activity to reduce pain intensity and improve daily function.
Comprehensive Allied Health Support
Chronic Disease Management: Tailored exercise to manage and prevent conditions like Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders.
Strength & Mobility for Seniors: Evidence-based programs designed for falls prevention, improving balance, and maintaining bone density as you age.
Mental Health Support: Utilizing exercise to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety while improving overall cognitive well-being.
Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Guided recovery for musculoskeletal surgeries, including joint replacements and spinal procedures.
Your Path to Better Health
Every journey begins with a comprehensive initial assessment where we review your medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle goals. We then design a personalised movement plan that is safe, effective, and adapted to your specific needs. Our services are often claimable through Medicare, the NDIS, and most private health insurers.
