Dry Needling

Dry needling is a targeted clinical technique using fine, sterile filiform needles to release myofascial trigger points the tight, irritable knots within muscle tissue that refer pain, restrict movement, and contribute to chronic tension patterns.

Unlike acupuncture, dry needling is grounded in Western anatomy and neurophysiology. The needle creates a local twitch response in the muscle a brief, involuntary contraction that interrupts the pain cycle and allows the tissue to release. The result is often an immediate and noticeable shift in both pain and range of movement.

The needle doesn’t do the work it creates the conditions for the body to do its own.

What to expect

Dry needling can be a standalone session or integrated with exercise physiology or breathwork as part of a broader treatment approach particularly where physical tension and emotional holding are intertwined, which in my experience is more often than not.
